How to add a domain user on a Windows Server 2008 domain controller?


Take the following steps to add a domain user on a Windows Server 2008 domain controller:

  1. Run Active Directory Users and Computers from Start > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.

  2. In the left pane of Active Directory Users and Computers, right-click the Users option. Click the New > User option in the menu. This will open a New Object – User wizard.

  3. On the wizard, provide the required information, and click the Next button.

  4. On the next page, provide the password and other required information, and click the Next button.

  5. Click the Finish button.
